May Quilt Guild Meeting

The monthly meeting for the Raising Kane Quilt Guild was fun and we had some very special visitors from the Skilled Nursing Facility. Some beautiful quilts have been donated to the residents of the facility and they came to show their appreciation. It was also such a treat to see Vickie again and to see some of the beautiful quilts that she brought to show.

Crystal was the mystery quilter for this month. She had a large variety of beautiful quilts that everyone really enjoyed. She is an inspiration to the guild.

Mickie showed her completed quilt that is such a cute pattern. Also, her nice table runner.

Alana had several newly finished quilts to show and as usual they are beautiful.

Nayna showed this stunning quilt with a beautiful pattern and yellow backing. She hand quilted this beauty.

Kris showed her bright, colorful stack and wack quilt. Very nice work Kris.

It was fun to see some of Vickie's quilts. She does such good work and her quilts brighten her room.

Nayna is enjoying treats at the end of a fun meeting.

Service project

Our guild meeting in May will be a sewing day and we will work on the stuffed animal-blanket project to donate to the hospital. They have a few of the animals left that we gave them in November so it is time to replenish. Following is a cute idea for a little blanket pocket to fit each animal. The link shows pictures but not directions. The pattern is for sale but I think we can get the idea from the picture. This is just an idea. Everyone can do whatever they would like with their animals and blanket. We do know that the kids that receive them will be comforted.
